So I know this is a common problem based on the millions of posts I have read about this issue. However there seems to be no common solution that i can find.
Heres where I'm at,
I just got the '03 Navi so I dont know how long its been like this. I checked the fuses they're all good. The drivers seat switches will not move the seat in ANY direction. The little switch that pushes the lower back rest out does work. I took the switchs off to look for this epic green/orange wire I have read so much about. It had power. All the other plugs in the harness had nothing. Hoping it may be a bad switch i swapped it with the pass side. No luck, still not working.
Could the seat motor be bad?
Also the adjust pedals, mirrors, sunroof, and rear lift gate are not working.
Trouble shooting tips?
No, but you're assuming the 2 problems are directly related. Electrical problems have to be resolved step by step. Your first step is to determine where the power starts and stops.
I agree with that. It seems odd that it seems to be a very common problem. there is a TSB out for the issue but no solid repair/troubleshooting i could find.
I lost the seats, mirrors and pedals in my 03 at the same time. It was a chafed wire in the 12 volt supply to the seat module that took them all down. BTW there are three motors in the seat so it is unlikely that all three went belly up at the same time.
Fuse 108 N fuse 109 are 30 amp and power the seat switches. 109 powers the 3 motors in the drivers seat. 14gauge "DG". While the 108 "Rd/Wt" powers the rest. If you have memory seats, F1.3 is a 7.5 amp fuse powers these. These will only work if the seat module recieves a ground starting system signal only if the gear selector is in park or neutral. If neutral signal is there then suspect the seat module. Odds on the seat module failure. Since power mirrors also failed, same circuit fuse. Points furthur toward the seat module failure. But it all depends on the ground signal when starting in Park/neutral with signal provided by PCM starter circuit. "This signal excites the seat module to work" - turns it on. Starter relay and accessory delay relay are interchangable in fuse box. Largest 6 relays are interchangable. If the motor is bad it will loose continuity thru the brushes.

So I pulled the seat, no sign of any chafed wires. None of the tracks look bent. I did find an artical on the TSB saying that the models built pre 2004 might have a seat motor bracket with bends in it (mine does). It goes on to say i need to instal a horizontal seat motor kit.
Can i test my old motor? it has 2 harness and 3 wires coming out of each. Not to sure how that works?
I dont want to drop $200+ On this kit and find that is the global seat modual or somthing!
I would keep chasing the supply for the module if it were me. You have too many common things out that all relate to the module. I eventually gave up on mine and had the dealer find it.

What did the dealer say yours was. I'm finding this as a common problem. Its killing me theres not a common solution. The TSB says swap the seat motor, You said chafed wire, another forum a guy said its his 'global seat modual'
Odds are you have a faulty memory seat module. It would have the capability to reverse directions on the motor if it were good. You would find power to the motor. Find a used auto parts yard.

Any ideas on how to test it? I'm currently living in Hawaii, while that may sound good to many of you freezing right now. Bone yards are far and few in between. Limited vehicles and stupid prices.
The memory is also included in the list of things that go out with the module. The dealer wrote up exactly what I said - chafed wire in the 12v supply to the module. You seem fixated on the motor itself and the TSB when you have all the symptoms of the module being the culprit.
2 options. order on line from a parts yard or go to dealer hoping reprograming will excite it into operation. Do you have heated seats? There is an inexpensive $ cig plug in to power the module when battery is changed. If no power source the module kills and needs programming by the dealer. not so expensive to find out. Any attempt to hook power to the module in other ways will damage a good one. The TSB lists ways to test the motor with the module disconnected. Also sitting in the back and pushing on the seat while someone else trys to adjust it sometimes works if it is stuck in the rear position. The TSB is really for long legs going constantly to short legs. If one position on the seat is good for you? Did you have a battery unhook/dead/changed just befor the problem started? You know my bet is before you, the previous owner had battery problems. The battery should have been bad around 2008/9. Who knows how long it may have set there dead and dying. Stop by the dealer and let them plug in, it is an inexpensive, if compared to all else solution. U may then need to order a new module and go back again for the plug in memory awakening.
