titling
On my truck the vin- warranty number says not for titling. What number do i use for getting the title for my truck?

Use the VIN stamped into the front passenger rail.

By front passenger rail he means the top of the frame rail on the passenger side just about below the location of the alternator. It might take a little effort to see.

Depending on the assembly plant, the VIN could be stamped in several places on the frame, or on the front crossmember of F100/250 2WD's.
These VIN's were hidden...on purpose. Law enforcement, dealers, DMV's knew where they were, but the general public usually did not.
Kelley Blue Books also listed the locations.
Look here:
1) On the top of the right (passenger) side frame rail just in front of, or partially under the cab.
2) Adjacent to the steering gearbox on the top of the left (drivers) side frame rail.
