Yes the cabs are the same. I put a cab off a 1964 F600 on my 1964 F100 without any problems. It also helped that the F600 had a 5spd trans in it at one time so I didn't have to cut the center hump out. I just unbolted the center hump in my F100 and rebolted it back in my new cab since the F600 had a notch cut in the cover for the emergency brake in the floor and couldn't use. All 1961-64 cabs (As long as it isn't the unibody of course) will be a direct bolt on plus the cabs from 1965-66 F350-F600, 1965 4x4 (both F100-F250), and the 1966 F250 4x4 will also fit. I hope this helps you out.
I thought all 65 & 66 half through one ton cabs had the flat floor, but from what you said the 4X4 and F350 versions must have the door wells like mine, that helps greatly in finding a good doner, right on!
I did find that the 1963 and older cabs have a bit different roof than the 64-66 cabs.
I found and purchased a 1964 F250 for the cab last weekend, it has a very nice cab at least compared to mine.
I will need to weld patches in the lower rear, but it is very minimal.
Anyway the doner 1964 has a good running complete 292 Y-block that is for sale cheap! $150.00 is cheap isn't it?
