I just replaced tth sensor and pedal assembly on my 2001, was under $100 with shipping through Ed, just not sure if my 2001 is different than a 2000. 5 minute deal to replace entire assembly.

Entire assembly for under $100.00. Damn, that's a good price.
Have been reading everything under the sun here for a few months, compared to local dealer, Ed is unbelievably a better deal, at least for me as I live in BFE MT. Not thinking you will find much better deals than he has, certainly for OEM parts.
Ed...I will be ordering one of the AFTER 10/2/00 ones from in the next couple of months. Thats a lot better of a price than my local stealership quoted me a couple of weeks ago.

only other footnote on that in catalog says with fixed pedals.
Why such a price difference. Are the ones for the earlier models getting scarce?
I'm doing good, can't wait to see you again at the next RR/Y2K event.
back to business
mostly because you need one and Ford is out to get just you!
bawhahahahahaha
The earlier ones were on back order for the longest time, not sure there scarce but Ford does strange things with some of the parts when it comes to pricing.
ED wish i knew you before i bought the used pedal assmbly...if it dont work for me you can bet you will be getting a order from me in the near future!...very glad to find you and will probly be ordering some parts soon if needed...

so I know, you can change the early to late by a little rewire?
I compared my 2000's wiring diagrams to those of a 2002.
Yes, the later year shows a single connector, whereas the 2000 shows two.
All the wire colors are the same on both for the same functions.
The trick will be to get the proper connector to swap into my truck's harness. Bone yard item, I suppose.
I'm confident that my way is completely "do-able", but probably not practical from a parts supplier's (your) perspective.
As I said in a previous thread, Ford could solve all this easily by building a small pigtail adapter harness. I can't imagine what they'd charge for it, but they could have them made up and then stock only one part.
