I would not put an Edge on a 6.0L. They don't make safe power and they are hard on the transmission. Get an SCT with custom tunes, it will run a lot better and your trans will last longer. I'd get tunes from Eric at Innovative Diesel.
Does it come with tunes or do u have to pay someone to make it custom to you?
Patience is the key here. They won't reply to you on the weekend and during the week you'll need to call them early in the morning or wait till later in the evening till you get an email reply. There's a few places that do custom tunes but Eric seems to be one of the best. I've got some of his tunes and love em but I was real patient as it took a couple weeks before I got mine due to they were on vacation at the time I got my tuner. These guys are doing alot of work and they keep up with they're customers pretty good but with all the business they do you have to be patient with them. My hats off to those guys seriously.
When you get a tuner from them you get three custom tunes to your liking and driving style any more tunes and it's extra money. Get the sct and custom tunes and your buddy will probably ditch that edge tuner or his tranmission whichever comes first.
Go to innovativediesel.com order it there and it will come with custom tunes. I agree with above stay as far away from edge. It is really bad for the trans. As a matter of fact stay away from any off the self "can tunner". If they have shift on the fly they are no going to be good for the truck.
I've seen several people who get an Edge Insight for gauges and then use an SCT for tuning. I did a single pod under the handle and put two in the dash bezel.
