You should be able to straight down thru the access in the top of the upper intake, is there a bracket covering this area that you did not remove?

the manifold is solid right above that point, it is possible that it is not the correct manifold for the truck, there is no opening

If it is the stock intake, there should be a opening you can access it from the top. Any chance it was swapped for the Mustang style intake?

ok i found the opening, but now i cannot get my torx bit to fit through the opening, and i after putting the torx bit under the manifold, and then meeting it up to the extension it is apparently too long to make it to the head of the bolt

I use a cut off, long torx T handle with the T cut off and the shank installed into a small socket (cant remember the size)............That will get you right in there, but it might require a trip to the AP store if you do not have a T-45 torx T handle to sacrifice.

A 6" long 1/4 drive extension and 1/4 socket with the Torx bit taped in works great on this bolt.

I used a T-45 in a changeable bit screwdriver with a long shaft on it. The end of the screwdriver was magnetized for holding bits and bolts in place- worked great for removal and installation. You can't torque it to spec on installation, but I just tightened down as hard as I could- no problems after a year.

That's exactly how I've done it several times now.
