The way I did it with the cut off T handle was because, I did not have a T-45 Torx bit......................You can bet I do now!

LOL this is funny for me. I went through the same exact frustration cycle today on my truck while pulling the manifolds. I was banging my head on a wall trying to get that bolt for probably an hour. Then I did a search on fte and when I finally got that damn thing off I did a victory lap around the yard with manifold over my head.
