Unhappy Halloween

So what do you do with a 7 year old girl who is sick and can't go out trick-or-treating? My daughter is sick in bed with a bad cough and a fever. She can't leave the house.

Do like a friend of mine did,
1. Fix her a BBQ diner of Halloween items,
Such as,
Frankenfurters (hotdogs with green ketchup)
Spooknbeans (Baked Beans)
Coffin Nails (French fries)
AND OF COURSE!!!!
Pumpkin pie or cookies!

OR
2. BUY THE BIGGEST BAG OF CANDY IN THE WORLD!

Mom (the boss) has granted her a reprieve. She looks and sounds much better. And the weather here in central PA is actually pretty warm. I must say I'm thankful I don't have worse things to worry about than this.

Sorry to hear your little one is under the weather. I hope she gets better real soon and I'm glad she'll be able to have a little fun tonight. My youngest son and my daughter had the flu all last weekend and couldn't do anything..............and they were gracious enough to share it with me too.

I can relate. Last weekend me and my 3 kids were supposed to go to a bonfire and hay rack ride. My daughter was sick with the flu so she didn't get to go. She was very upset because she had never been on a hay rack ride before. It's my oldest son's turn to be sick this week,so he won't be going trick or treating, this was going to be his last year because he is getting to old.

Local ordinances here prohibit those older than 13 from trick-or-treating. But I always see kids and adults well over 13 out doing it. We don't give candy to anybody that's obviously over the age.

he is 13. it was his idea for this year to be his last year, not my idea. In his words,he is "getting to old for this stuff"

Don't you just love that? I've got an eight year old daughter who's going on twenty-one....I hear the same thing about a lot of things.

My bride takes the time to make two sizes of candy bags for the little tricksters.

The larger bags are for the kids who are clearly within the under 13 age limit and the smaller bags are for those who are clearly over but are looking after the younger ones. We tell mom and dad to buy thier own.
