Transmission swap

Has anyone attempted to put a 5 spd Torq-shift or a 6 spd Allison transmission behind the 7.3 PSD?

The short answer is it can't be done with the torqshift. I'm sure the allison is possible, but to what advantage? The cost is prohibitive.

Why not just beef up the 4R100 for less cash?

Swapping to a 6 speed is also an option.

a BTS or factorytech trans will cure your problem for wanting a different trans. i hear that brian at BTS challenges you to break that trans...be ready to dish out 4k for one of his
