Okay so I am getting really tired of the o-rings that come in the fuel injector o-ring kits.I ordered 3 kits and not one of them had decent o-rings. They all used EDPM rubber well depending on where you live and what type of fuel you run bio-diesel like B20 causes the EDPM to bulge and crack. So I decided enough of the leaking injectors I am running a pretty harsh mix on one of my 7.3 farm trucks its about 98% used engine oil filtered to .5 micron and 2% red dye. Well the used engine oil has caused issues with the o rings and replacing them is a pain. So I went searching and found a direct fit o-ring that is made of Viton! The o-rings used on these engines is a type #111 common but $$$ if you don't know where to go. Well worth the money and you get 50 of them for under 6.00 plus 4.50 shipping. I found this McMaster-Carr use part # 9464K24
Viton may also help with the hardening when using standard diesel. We use it for solvent duty at the chemical plant where I do some work. On a side note does anyone know if viton is ok for use with brake fluid?
I ordered some as well. I got them a few days ago, just haven't had the chance to install them. Everything else is in good shape since I did a complete kit a few months ago, but the o-rings are already leaking.
