Just take it slow and build up your kit as you need something. Iv'e been working construction and industrial for 15 years now and I just buy one thing at a time as the need comes up. If I need something I look at it and decide if I need it more than once. If I cant make it and I will need it more than once and it's not to pricey I buy it. If I only need it once or twice or it is very expensive I try to hire it and as a last resort I will borrow it.

well i know for a fact that if i had a welder and plasma cutter, they wouldnt be able to stop me from buildin or workin on stuff. lol. theyd have to unplug it, and when i go over to see why, theyd have trap me in a net and throw it in a box, and nail the box shut. and then id break out and go back to work again... hehe.

hey 460, keep in mind, lots of welding and plasma = lots of power usage. projects = utility bill.

or could run it off his truck

I have to use my friends shop (2 1/2 car garage) its 12 minutes from my house and 10 minutes from the nearest parts store but the good thing is I have a welder there and no one cares how noisy you are or what’s in the lawn

good point 460. Hey Joe, thats what they make the yellow cords, or in my case, a little bro that works for a whole sale electrical supply house for. 10% over cost makes for a helluva power cord.

as a matter of fact, i would just run an extension cord out there. lol. there are outlets on the sides of the dorm too, so it doesnt have to be so long.
