2009 RRE - Weak HPOP's

How many of you went to that event found out you had weak HPOP's?

I think so. Not sure, but all were fine until we hit the upper tunes, then they started falling off. Some were worse than others. Mine was fine through 60E, then started falling off in 80E and up.

According to Jody, Out of those 4 only 1 was holding below 2000psi. Not good at all. The others were okay for stock injectors, and not too bad at all for 17* pump.

Yeah, it's nothing to worry about at all. Just like me, the older I get, the weaker I get. The differance is, I can fix my pump. :-) I think its affecting my mileage a tad.

My 15* hasn't given me any problems, but Roland was kind enough to give me his old pump for a core. I've been talking to Joey and I'll be getting a T1 as soon as they are ready.

Why do you ask? I do, but it was in the hotter tunes.

That's pretty cool, I do believe I'd like to try that out. Sounds like a good RRE 2010 mod.

Mines was the worst. It held only 1300 psi in the 140 tune with single shot injectors. Since the Stealth HPOP was installed, I can maintain 2800-3000 psi in my highest tune and EGTs have also dropped. Performance is unreal.

I asked because I'm following a good thread on another site and remembered that more than a few of you had experienced weak hpop's at RRE this year. I'm not going to say anything, I'm just putting my own information together because I had experienced low icp also (obviously not at RRE). More curiosity than anything I guess.

Well, I wasn't at RRE, but mine was dropping to the 1700-1900 range on my hottest tune on stock sticks. With the hybrids, it's holding 2800-3000. Enough to blow the O-ring out of the non-serviceable plug two days later...

All late model 99s & up have a 17* pump. Only the early 99s & back had the 15* pump.
