Quick 3600 mile review
Truck runs as expected, smooth quiet, just hope it will be like this in years to come.
On board mpg computer is a joke, says I'm getting 22 to 23 avg, coming out to be maybe 18 on paper. Which also means the "miles to empty" screen is useless. Why did they bother?
Other then the use with the phone, sync system is hypted up BS, what a useless piece of equipment that is.have an itouch and not worth the trouble to connect, then when it does connect you are limited on what your listening options are. I didn't order it, happened to be on the truck I wanted.
Had a small dent removed in the bed, maybe someone leaning on it he said. My god, is this truck that easy to dent? Pretty sad.
Also as mentioned in another post, inside scratches very easily. Thinking this is a pretty boy truck not made to be man handled.

*sniff, sniff*... mmm, I love the smell of troll in the morning. Smells like victory...
If the MPG screen is that far off, talk to the dealer. Most are a bit off... few are that far off.
Sync works great - I was a doubter and now love it. Trouble to connect? Set the phone as primary and it auto-connects. Limited on listening options? What are you talking about?

got my 09 in late march. has bout 9000 on it. had a 96 gt stang bought it a year old. kept it when i bought the truck. btw. MY TRUCK IS AWESUME!!!!!!!
I cant comment on the on board computer. My truck runs for about 16 hours a week just on idle. i dont pay attention to miles to empty or the average mpg. its says 12.lol.
No sync, i didnt see the point. I hit the side of the bed with a big a** log and only scratched it a lil.
I love this truck the more i drive it. I manhandle it all the time. dont baby it. your truck will get upset if you dont dent, scratch, bottom out, spill stuff in it. The stang has 200,000 on it when i pulled the engine. oil was changed at 2,500 and this truck because of how long i let it run on idle and the heat in san antonio i change it at 2,000.

No troll here, I bought the truck because was tired of paying ins. on an 07 civic and a 95 nizzan truck. 80 miles round trip to work ten times a week the reason for the civic and decided to hell with mpg, get what I want.
The sync works with phone like it should. Just when using ipod I cant get back to menu to play another artist after the intital boot up for the drive.

Ahh, so it's not so totally horrible, hmm? Let's put it a different way... you like the truck. You have some usability issues with the Sync which could be your error or could be some obtuse design on the part of Ford/Microsoft. Some dash plastic is softer than you like. And you whacked the crap out of the bed and dented it. But for the most part, you're happy with it.
And I bet it's a million times better than your Nissan pickup...

Ford is using "smart steel" on thier F-150 and SD trucks. This steel may seem a little softer but it's not. It is more pliable and more resistant to permanent damage from little dings and dents that happen.
I hope your not looking for econbox MPG's because it simply ain't gonna happen. It's a heavy well built and well engineered truck.
How about posting some pics of your ride inside and out.
If you ask, I quarantee that someone here with SYNC will gladly assist you.

Only time will tell on that, had the Nissan for 12 years and put 148K miles on it and only added tires, one starter, and two set of front brakes. Even had the original clutch still. Doubt I will see that again in any vehicle, I was very lucky with that truck.
As far as sync, when I first turn on my ipod and connect I have access to all albums, but if I want to go to another album while driving it will not do it. If I say Artist, it may give me an option of three different albulms but thats it.

I have heard that the Ipod Touches don't work as well with sync as the normal ipods, such as nano's etc. I'm not sure why it is, but that is what one of my friends who is a ford tech told me. He said ford is also working on a sync update to fix it!
