Greetings

There isn't really a club right now. This forum was just set up a couple of days ago by the Webmaster. Right now I just think of this forum as a place to inform of any car shows or races or events of the sort. I know several times a year during the summer Ford has car shows at the Ranger plant. I used to work across the street a few years back and got to see all of the old Ford muscle cars going in and coming out. Went in to the show last year and actually got to touch a real 289 GT-40. :-staun I am going to try and find out when they have these shows and post the dates as soon as I can get any info. There is also car-craft which is ok and Back to the 50's which is one of the best shows. There are other things around the state too and hopefully some others around the state can help out with. I did just talk to an old freind today who said he was starting a car club and asked if I was interested. So far the details are few but I am going to try and keep in touch with him about this.

Hey there Boss 358, Thanks for starting a local chapter. I live in South Minneapolis, but work in Bloomington, just on the north end of the 169 bridge. I have posted on the message board many times, but never joined FTE until today. You prompted me to finally join.

Is there now a local chapter that I should join? I'm not sure how this works. Does an FTE membership give me membership to the local chapters? Please explain this more to me.

Your 78 looks impressive. I also have a 78 4x4, but with the 400 and a few more spots of rust than yours. Mine dynoed @ 376hp & 451torque. I've posted on the 400 forum quite a bit.

Maybe if enough people have interest, our trucks could all get together some day.

Dan

78 F150 4x4, 400 451'torque, 35", 2"lift, custom wheel opening.
72 F250 4x4, 460, 9"lift, Dana 60, brown & rust "The Turd"
86 F150 4x2, 300 original owner, 245,000 rusty and trusty
66 Tbird Landau, 390+, fast street car, soon to be nitrous

I am new to the moderator thing but if you joined club FTE you have access to all of the member areas and you get the website and all of that fun stuff. You don't have to join a local chapter or anything when you join FTE you are a member and that is that.

Basically I was told that how WE handle the group is in my hands. So if anyone has ideas or any info feel free to share it. I will try to do my share of stuff though I am going to be busy mostly during the week and usually only get online on the weekends. If anyone has any questions I will do my best to answer them or get an answer. There is nothing really mandatory that I know of. Nothing like a cult or anything where we all get together and go worship the worlds largest Ford Truck. LOL, unless thats what your into thats fine with me. If somebody wants to get something going at a mud run or somekind of get together thats cool. Just let everyone who is interested know the when's and where's and that important stuff. I like to go to shows but am not superman and cannot make it to everything. I would like to make it to BIR at least once this year to seew the races. I'll be sure to wear my FTE shirt too.

Thanks for Your help Julie with the shows. I am going to try and go to the Ellington car Museum sometime. If you can keep us posted if you find anything out.

I just have to say its great to see this this many people in here after just over a week of the forum being up. Take it easy everyone.

HEY Y'ALL!!!

BEMIDJI MN here!! My truck is almost up and running. Just got hte motor rebuilt and painted... new radatior and all that other crazy stuff.

By the Way, I have a 3 Core V8 radatior for sale. I got it form someone who though he knew about trucks, doesnt work for my inline 6. It is freshly repainted and looks brand new. I would like to get rid of it, since I dont need it, so like $100????? I can take pictures of it... Just thought Id mention it. I guess it would work well in a 351W. Well maybe I'll see ya on the road or at the rodeos!!!
