still aint fixed!!

well if you know my story ive recently had problems with my 7.3.... had a problem with my truck drove it to a mechanics shop and he gave me a list of problems. well after a new pcm, idm, all eight injectors, glowplugs and valve cover wiring harnesses.he says my motors blowed up.my question is how the hell can i drive a truck five miles to his shop with a blowed up motor?nothing was coming from the bottom end as far as noise. seemed more like an injector problem... blowing sooty smoke, loss of power...but still ran...5 miles.it ran when it got to his shop ,but it wont crank and run now. after the (work)...pressures are good .fuel&oil, electrical is good. according to te eight thousand dollar snap on computer.its something (simple stupid) right????.shadtree mechanic? or do i need a second opinion?or take it to the ford dealership?

It wont turn over at all or it tries to then stops suddenly or nothing at all when he turns the key?

How far are you away from Griffin Ga. If not far have truck towed to Garmons Diesel performance and have Jeff and the boys take a look at it.

They wont steer you wrong, and they know diesel.

Seems to me, if the motor is blown up now, it was blown up when you showed up, and if he were truly competent he would've known that before he did hundreds (thousands?) of dollars worth of repairs to a bad motor.

Just a thought. Get that truck outta there, to someone that knows diesels.

Don't do that Glow Plugs and Ether are not friends.

Make sure that the batteries are fully charged, even then you may have to use a jump from anther truck. (Remember the IDM needs a minimum of 10.5 volts to fire the injectors) The system may just be full of air and it may take a lot of cranking to get it it fire off. Make sure that the oil level in the HPOP is full. We just did injectors in my truck and we had to crank it off and on for a minute or two to get her to cough then another couple of cranks for her to fire up.

I suppose it depends on your definition of screwed.

What did the mechanic tell you? Did he give you a cause or diagnosis or did he just say "it done blew up?"
