Intake Heater?
Should I use it? my 78 F250 doesn't have one but the 75 motor I just bought does but I plan on using the intake in the truck now so I'm wondering if I should use the intake heater?

Its purpose is to prevent carb icing in colder climates so i guess it depends on which part of the country you live in if you choose to use it or not, though i suppose the argument can be made it cools the carb as well, 190 degree coolant is a lot cooler than the super heated exhaust flowing through the exhaust crossover in the intake manifold (nothing a phelonic spacer couldn't take care of though).

Humidity does cause carburetor icing, also.
if you want to keep the pre-heater, make sure the air cleaner temperature sensor is in operating condition otherwise you will be drawing hot exhaust all the times.
