Heaviest load you pulled

Just curious whats the most you have towed with the 6.0. I hauled a case international 7140 tractor that weighed about 25000 pounds on my 30 foot gooseneck. It was a short distance for some fellow farmers to get worked on. Just came back from flemingsburg ky with an army m818 but used my freightliner because of the hills (i thought would be bad) should have carried the ford instead.

See the picture to the left... I run down the road at 25,000lbs plus (total) and up some nasty grades (E. Oregon) with no problem.

Mine has not been as big as you guys, but I have hauled my trailer that is 8000 lbs plus 100 bales of hay @ 60 lbs each. Total of 14,000 lbs from PA to FL. She handled it pretty darn good for a truck with 4 inch lift and oversized tires.

I have hauled 21,000 lbs with my 6.0L about 25 miles. Heck, just hauled close to 18k yesterday a total of 140 miles with the 250. Got pics to back all these claims to.

I guess 72 rail road ties on a goose neck trailer and the pick in my signature. I dont have a clue on the weight though. Easy to pull an PITA to stop since the trailer brakes didnt work.

Those rail road ties weigh over 200 lbs a piece. You had a load on that one.

I actually thought I was going to break the trailer in half, my bobcat would only pick up 4 at a time without the back end coming off the ground.

Depending on which kind (main line or switch) is how much they weigh. The ones used on the mainline (single track)...are 8 ft long and about 350-400 pounds new. The longest of the switch ties are 18 ft and about 1k to 1200 pounds. The heaviest I've pulled with my F250 was a 8k pound wheel/frame set for a trolley car (check out my gallery). Now I have pulled a 15k battery powered personnel lift with a F350...but that belonged to a former employer and it's been 5 years ago.

Can some of you actually define 'no problem' for me.. For me 'no problem' is that you don't have to constantly work with the truck to keep it up to speed, you don't have to up shift constantly, don't have to floor, etc..

For these heavy loads, does it actually pull them at highway speeds easily?

For me, I didn't have to floor it or anything else. I let the cruise do the work. The truck stayed at 70 mph all day long. Granted I was only dragging 10k pounds behind the truck. With the F350 I didn't have to down sift (stick shift) but with 4.30 in the pumpkin and humming at 75 mph there wasn't a need to. I didn't care about fuel mileage when someone else was paying for it; completely different story now.

25 round bales at roughly 1 ton a peice. Engine still had more.... but the back end was wandering a bit. lol. If there wouldve been any bigger hills here never wouldve tried it. Still managed to keep it between 45 to 60. Good news we have access to a 82 pete to pull those loads now. Good thing to the torque converter is kinda starting to act goofy.
