Ok, as short of an explanation as I can make. My truck surges or bucks while going up hill and I have recently noticed that it seems to only happen when the cruise is on. I do not notice the boost or the rpm change when it does this. I thought it was the driveline but now I am not so sure. I have installed a custom double cardon cv style drive shaft and have had multiple alignments and rotated the tires. I have no idea what is cousing this. I also installed farmbot fabrications stage II traction bars. It is worse when towing or a couple hundred pounds in the bed. My pinion is about 1 degree high and I have pinion shims that I am going to install but I do not belive that is the cause because it did this with the stock DS and the carrierbearing shimmed perfect. Any ideas?
mine does the same thing some times under heavy acceleration are pulling the horse trailer and this has been going on for awile not shure if tranni,is sliping are fuel delivery problim. it's gooing to the shop tommorow for a FICM. don't know if this has somthing to do with it but I will let you know if it fixes it
I had the same thing happen when one injector was bad.
Bucks like a tire is out of round on every big hill in the road.
There are a few good injector cleaners do some searches.
Mine is also doing the same thing pulling up hill. My dealer has had my truck for three weeks cant find anything wrong with it. I said maybe a injector they said no it is not showing any codes... what am i supposed to do? i asked, they said maybe drive it until it breaks. WTF I only drive it on vacations....Sorry venting 26th time in the shop engine only......
Well, I use either the amsoil cleaner or diesel kleen every fill-up. It does not do it when taking off. It just seems to do it when I use cruise. the rpms and boost don't seem to change at all.
this is a little knowen somewhat normal condition. the truck is tring to adjust for the load. and they also like to do it empty

2005-2006 F-SUPER DUTY 6.0L - BUCK/JERK STEADY THROTTLE OR SLIGHT TIP IN
SOME 2005-2006 F-SUPER DUTY VEHICLES BUILT ON OR BEFORE 3/15/2006 EQUIPPED WITH A 6.0L ENGINE MAY EXHIBIT A BUCK/JERK CONDITION IN LOW (L), FIRST (1ST), OR SECOND (2ND) IN MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLES, OR IN MANUAL 1ST, MANUAL 2ND, OR IN TOW-HAUL MODE IN FIRST (1ST) OR SECOND (2ND) ON AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLES. THIS CONCERN OCCURS ANYWHERE FROM 1800-2500 RPM AT STEADY THROTTLE OR SLIGHT TIP IN. CONCERN WILL BE MORE EVIDENT UNDER A LOAD, OR WHILE PULLING A TRAILER. THIS CONCERN IS MORE NOTICEABLE IN MANUAL TRANSMISSION EQUIPPED VEHICLES. REPROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) TO THE LATEST CALIBRATION USING IDS RELEASE B41.11 AND HIGHER OR B42.1 AND HIGHER. THIS NEW CALIBRATION IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE B42 CD. 2005 - 2007 SUPER DUTY F-SERIES WITH A 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE - BUCK/JERK WHEN PULLING LARGE/HEAVY GOOSE NECK TRAILERS
SOME 2005-2007 SUPER DUTY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE MAY EXHIBIT A BUCK/JERK CONCERN WHEN PULLING LARGE/HEAVY GOOSE NECK TRAILERS. FOR EXAMPLE PULLING MULTIPLE HORSES, LIVING QUARTERS, OR ON BOARD WATER TANK. THIS CONCERN OCCURS IN TOW/HAUL MODE, TYPICALLY BETWEEN 35-60 MPH (56-97 KM/H), AND REQUIRES AN INPUT FOR THE BUCK/JERK TO START. FOR EXAMPLE, THE BUCK/JERK MAY START AFTER A SHIFT EVENT, TORQUE CONVERTER LOCK UP, OR HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD SURFACE. ONCE THE BUCK/JERK STARTS, THE DRIVERS FOOT MAY NOT BE HELD STEADY ON THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY AND THE BUCK/JERK BECOMES WORSE. RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL COMPLETELY, OR GOING TO WIDE OPEN THROTTLE (WOT) TYPICALLY WILL STOP THE BUCK/JERK. THIS CONCERN DOES NOT OCCUR WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN CRUISE CONTROL. FOLLOW THE SERVICE PROCEDURE STEPS TO CORRECT THE CONDITION.

the reflash never seemed to do squat for this issue
Mine does it at 55-65 mph with cruise on and in OD. HMMMM. Any suggestions? I know this isn't normal because it bucks veryyy hard and I have to either give more gas or shut off the cruise for it to stop.
Mine does the exact same thing but only when pulling my camper.
It bucks HARD. Damn near shakes your teeth out.
Someone said it was a NORMAL condition?!?!?!?!?!?! Ummmmmm I don't think so.
Dealer is clueless.
I do run fuel conditioner.

Cheezit, Where can I find more information on your paragraph starting with 07-06-09? My truck is currently in the shop for a FICM replacement, and is going out of warranty by the time I pick it up, so now would be a good time to address the issue you have addressed in 07-06-09. Is that number the date the issue was posted? Is there a TSB number? Please send me more info on this.
