My son accidentally stuck 2 dvds in the oem player of my 08 expedition. I was able to extract them, however, now when I insert a disc the mechanism that locks the disc in place does not engage. I have tried to pull the #3 fuse and disconnected all power as well. Any recommendations would be very helpful. THANKS!!
I too had 2 disks stuck in the player and was ale to get them out. Now it says that there is a disk error and it tries to eject but it cannot spit it out. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a fix for it. Talked to a local audio guy he said it was broken and really no hope for it but he didn't look at it (he installs only and doesn't fix broken ones). I havnt tried the fuse thing just read about it. Will try tomorrow and let you know. But if any advice please let me know.
I have a 2007 Ford Explorer EB. OEM rear FES. When I insert a DVD, the audio will play but no video on the screen. I know the screen is working at other times because when inserting an audio CD, it will display a menu for the tracks.
The answers in this thread led me to a fix that only cost me $5.49 for a fuse kit. The problem was indeed the #3 15 amp fuse. I probably would have spent hundreds of dollars if I had taken the vehicle to a Lincoln dealership. Thanks everyone
