DVD System 'Bad Disc'

I have a new 2007 Expedition. The rear DVD System from Ford apparently has issues.

Each time a put a DVD disc in it say's "Bad Disc". Then it will not eject the disc.

I can not get the disc out. Is there a solution other than taking it to the dealer? I have pressed all the buttons and turned it off and on but nothing will eject the disc.

Thanks,

In case I was not clear, this is the Overhead DVD Video System behind the front seats.

It seems strange that nothing I have tried will EJECT the DVD disc.

I guess I can take it apart but that sounds scary to me. Anyone have a diagram for removal?

Thanks

Try Pulling the fuse and let the system reset. If that fails then you may have to take to dealer. Is the dvd itself a store or homemade. If homemade does it have a sticker type Label. Only issue I ever had with factory dvd was a screen replacement. it said bad dvd for me and when I changed burning software it alleviated the issue

Thanks for the reply.

The DVD is a copy (I own the orginal DVD). It was burned with Nero which is usually compatible with most players.

The Player is the factory (OEM) system that came with the truck. I did not see any labels on the player but I have not removed the case yet.

I will try to find the fuse and remove it and see what happens.

Thanks,
