I installed this same filter two weekends ago. Took me about an hour. Nice good with good instructions. I ended up cutting the heater hose connections short on 1 side and had to get some extra heater hose to repair. No big deal but try and avoid my mistake when you install.
How did you do that???
You just make one cut and install the "T" into this "one cut"???
How can you make it "short????
No reason to remove any length of hose while installing.
I got the Dieselsite coolant filter kit, but it will not fit where it was designed for. Because of my Banks inter-cooler tube. Does anyone know how else to mount it?

The Dieselsite coolant filter was designed for an OEM application... so with your Banks intercooler, I guess you will have to design your own kind of bracket and doublecheck to ensure that the hoses included (or buy new ones) so you can install.
The coolant filter can go anywhere, but obviously keeping the hose lengths short, simple and clean (to make the install look good) is key.
I am assuming you will need to fashion your own kind of bracket to connect to "somewhere" and then connect it to the Dieselsite "head unit"... hopefully leaving room to srew and unscrew the filter after it is installed (so you can safely and easily change it).
Good luck and provide pictures when you figure it out.
Re: Banks IC, just cut the Dieselsite bracket in half, drill two holes in bottom of bracket on each half and bolt together, buy a 3in bolt for the sleeve and cut the sleeve to size, line up the bracket and mark and drill a hole on the Banks IC support. Just installed mine last night. I know this thread is old but thought this might help someone. I don't have pictures right now but if someone wants them I can take some.
I used the same kit. 45 minutes to install. Good advice on the ball valves an a couple of extra filters. My first filter went 350 miles and was plugged solid. Second went about 1000 and the third has went 4000 miles and is still good.
