if i pull my valve covers do i have to get new gaskets for it

not unless the pin connectors are burnt... they are reuseable...

97 inch lbs. Do a search and save this page. Tim printed some torque specs for us.

So that's only like ~8 ft-lbs. huh, I'll bet I over tightened mine.
