I got an XRF tie rod end off of MIBearings a while back and was disappointed to find that they are, in fact, made in Taiwan, ROC. Chinese doesn't have to mean junk but it all too frequently is. I found everything about the part to be good except for its origin and I wouldn't rule out buying it again (provided quality US made was not available). MIBearings price and speed of shipping were good. I did call them and was able to reach an intelligible human being without much problem. I don't think that she was the most knowledgeable person but she did get my answer for me.

OEM last 200k and you don't have to grease them

Money is no object unless I'm paying a lot more for ball joints that wear out faster than other brands.

How do I know if I have "monobeam" or "twin I frame"?

Just bought some Spicer/Danas from Summit for $130. Best price I could find. Free Shipping over $100 as well.

I've been rockin a set of Kryptonite ball joints and hubs for a few months now and they are holding strong. Definitely on track to break all previous records. I've run Spicer twice, Mevotech, and Irish Mafia parts house brand and destroyed them all in months. None made it a single year, but I'm optimistic for these Kryptonite units.

So is it better to have the greasable or not? I like being able to grease stuff but factory ball joints last fairly well so???

I think its subjective to each person. I personally like to grease what I can because it pushed the old crap out and any contamination out with it. Think dirt, water, salt, or any other crap that work past the seals. I feel they are more of a dust boot than a seal.
Different scenario but how many uni joints have you pulled out with dry cups when they are the non greaseable type as opposed to greaseable.
Usually do it whist waiting for the oil to drain during an oil change . so really takes no extra time for a few quick pumps. Also gives me a chance to check things over as im doing it.
