Max AC?

my ac works fine except on max ac. It used to start by blowing out the defroster for just a sec or 2 then would switch to the panel and blow hard and ice cold! Now it only blows out the defrost. If i select panel it blows out the panel fine just doesnt seem as cold? checked the freon and it was fine.

You probably have a broken or disconnected vacuum line. Other than that, maybe the door is stuck on defrost.

you need to define more what the problem is. the location that the air comes out, defrost or panel or floor is controlled by 3 different vacuum cylinders. If air comes out the defrost, you have a vacuum leak and that is the default. This has nothing to do with the temp. Second, there is an electric motor that positions a temp door to mix hot and cold air to get the temp you want. If you dont get cold, then either the temp **** is slipping on the shat on the heater control, or the door is not moving to full "cold". the door can be broken or the motor could be bad. Can you get hot and cold by moving the ****? dont matter where the air is coming out.

mine has the push button deal... so no *****. It doesnt seem as cold as before but then again on max ac it will only come out the defrost. when i push panel/floor it blows out of both... I thought vacuum leak as well but why would it work on panel floor but not on max ac?

you havae push buttons????? some of the EXP had an Eddie Bower package that had some type of electronic control package. I think it works much different than what i described, that might be why your information dont match my description. You might look for other posts here about acircuit board tha controls the "climate control", and not a vacuum system.
