I'm the owner of the 56. I just got a cold call from someone in the ad agency who had seen a picture of it. The truck is 100% stock. It was a great original I got in 1977. Still had the burlap bag with jack under the seat. The mirror is stock white. They took the emblems off and put the CC ones on the hood. Also put hubcaps and taillite lenses on without the Ford logo. The money was good since this hobby is mostly cash out as you know. Also fun watching them do it.
Ther has been a lot of discussions on here lately about the Ford Jacks. Please tell us more about the jack. Did you say it was in a burlap bag? A special Ford Bag or an old feed bag? what other tools were with it? Was there a lug wrench or something to pop off the hubcaps?
Thanks!
PS: there are alot of guys here that like and have the bigger trucks like you have. Pics of them please.

I'm busy traveling but I will post some pics of my big trucks. I'll have to get that jack pack out and look it over again to make sure I give you the right answers. It has been under the seat for ages. It is a burlap bag about 12 inches wide and 3 feet long. I live in Maryland.
dain a celebrity in our midst !!!!!!!!!!!! we all need to get his autograph before he gets really big !!!!!!!!!! i seen the commercial and i believe it's on you tube for viewing . welcome aboard the asylum bound train here .........................
The truck is stock Meadow Green. I originally restored it in 1977 but had it repainted about 4 years ago. The latest paint is base coat clear coat and shines much better than new. The ad agency did do some computer enhancement so it doesn't look normal. They fussed about the color because it was different than the drug packaging but I told them, what you see is what you get, so they used the computer to change it. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance. I'm away from home for a bit.

I had a '53 back in the early '70's, and I vaguely remember a burlap bag for the jack. Back then I had no real interest in old trucks, they were just cheap (and funky) transportation.
Thanks for posting the ad. The agency just sent me a couple of DVDs of it. I guess this is as close as I'm going to get to my "15 minutes of fame" Almost time to get the old girl out of winter storage.
I thougt Ford built a pair of those in 2003(?) to celebrate the 100 year truck anniversary. If I recall they used Cobra engines from the Mustangs.
Those were original trucks, a Ford agent bought them off of (I think it was E-Bay) There is a build up article on the net but I cannot for the life of me think of the site.
