1979 f250
hey ive got a stock 1979 f250 2wd and i had 2 questions of ideas i was toying around with. 1: how hard would it be to convert it to a 4x4 truck? would it be harder than putting a 4x4 transfer case, front driveshaft and new front axel? 2: also i got ahold of an old 3208 caterpillar and i didnt know what you guys thaught about how hard it would be to rebuild it with a diesel tranny and drop in the 79 f250. let me know what ya think

Can't help you out with the cat question. But in the 4wd swap I would say just locate a 4x4 frame. It sounds like you plan on using your body ? Finding a wrecked 4x4 should be easy, and way cheaper/easier in the long run.
