Cab Swap

how hard will it be to swap 1975 supercab short bed f100 to a 1979 f250 4x4 regular cab lond bed chassis

i know that some of the cab mounts will need to be moved

I don't know for sure but with the proper knowledge and metal working skills it would be a fun project, but if not it sounds like a pain in the ***.

Supercab/short bed has 139" wheelbase. Regular cab/long bed has 133" wheelbase. You would have to lengthen the frame or shorten the bed.

how much stronger is the f 250 chassis to the f100 chassis as in swapping the running gear would the chassis hold up to the same use as the 250 chassis

I think your asking will the 250 hold up to the 100? The 250 (a 3/4 ton) its about twice as strong as the 100 (a light 1/2 ton). I'm no 4x expert, but General Rule for General People or GRGP if it's not a 4x don't make it one. I know it has been done. It just requires some know how and tools most don't have.

Just last week i saw a bronco frame with a supercab on it. It had about a two foot flat bed. The end of the cab cut off at the front of the rear tires. Cool for someone.......I guess?

wow, sounds like a pain. i got that problem to but its not as bad because mines a 78 crew 2x4 and other is 77 crew 4x4. tho i still dont know the differnce in mounts. isnt there like a 5 inch difference?
