Throttle Body Spacer

I was thinking on putting a throttle body spacer on my 2000 Expedition with the 5.4, and was wondering if anybody else has done it and if they like it. Was there any differnece in throttle response.

Also, does anybody know what is better, throttle body spacers with the spiral cut into them or the smooth bore type?

complete waste of money. I fell for the gimmick a while back and it did nothing, no better mpg's, no better response, no nothing but money I will never see again.

If better performance was as easy as spacing the TB then Ford would be doing it.

You'll get better use out of a Cold Air Intake. Or you could do like all the kids around my way and put on a "racing" muffler tip with removable restrictor plates. It will add 100hp!

I agree with the previous post. I bought a spiraled spacer a few years back and found no difference in performance or mileage although i did not dyno this is just my personal seat-of-the-pants observations. Fortunately for my situation I only paid about $25 on eBay...

I already have a True Flow Intake and a Hypertech Max Energy, and no I will not put a giant tip or sticklers lol. I am putting some sort of cat back on it later.
