Throttle Body Spacer

Hey anybody Know where I can pick up a good Throttle Body Spacer for 4.6L seems they are only for 5.4L. That or the same throttle body spacer will fit for 5.4 and 4.6 in the 2008 F150 I don't know.

thanks

Yeah - for a few extra $ you can have one of these.

These work a lot better than a TBS.

Charlie...I never get tired of your responses!

akinswi...the reason for the question and the sarcastic suggestion is that a TBS yields little to no gain for the $$$ you put into it. It's not completely "snake oil" but it's damn close.
You're better off taking that $$$ and investing it in a programmer, or for free, better driving habits. Just my $.02

already have an edge programmer, volant cold airintake and a flowmaster exhaust. How about a new throttlebody? instead of a spacer

If you decide that a direct injection engine really needs more 'time' to atomize/mix the air and fuel, then make damn sure you get one of these too.

Otherwise when we call BS on your performance gains (from the TBS), you won't have any proof to back it up!

Does that Edge have custom tunes to account for your CAI and exhaust? If not, then spend your money there. The canned tunes are drastically different than the custom tunes.

Did you know the Edge is for STOCK trucks? Don't take my word for it. Call or e-mail Edge.

Depending on your model year and engine, you could be damaging your engine with the Edge and the after-market, warmer-than-stock intake.

If you have a slot style MAF you absolutely need either 1) custom tunes or 2) a dyno shop to measure your AFR.

The programmer does allow you to make customer changes it also has 3 bulit insettings, 1 is for firmer transmission shifts, 2 is for towing and 3 is for performance. I noticed a diff from stock to 3. bad part is u have to run 93 octane gas, but it was worth the money. Also has 4 displays that shows all sorts of good data. The only the setting I change was speed limiter set to 120, the stock was set to 99.

Here is the one I bought.

I know what the Edge does (I have a CTS on my 09 - waiting on custom tunes from PHP).

I'll ask again, did you know the Edge is for STOCK trucks?

as far as I was told not to use on a stock truck. I was told i need to add a cold airintake and catback exhaust. Which I did. and by the way I was telling MCdavis about the programmer and not you so don't have to be a smartass.

Who ever told you NOT to use it on a stock truck was/is a moron.

As I said, don't take my word for it; call or e-mail Edge.

A little light reading:

FWIW, the exhaust did nothing to improve your performance - it just sounds 'meaner'.

Don't assume that I know nothing about programmers. Shotgunz is attempting to get information out of you, but bypassing his questions is not a way to help your cause.

Whoever told you that you shouldn't use the Edge Evolution on the stock truck is a moron. All "canned" tunes on programmers are designed to be used WITHOUT aftermarket modifications. Once you have added a CAI and exhaust, that is where the custom ordered tunes come into play. Once you start messing with your volume of air being delivered and the amount of exhaust leaving the engine, you have exceeded the capabilites of the "canned" tunes from the folks at Edge.

I would suggest that you look into some custom tunes before you spend any more money on a throttle body, headers, and anything else you may want to install on your truck.

If you don't want to take our advice, then stop soliciting for some.

EDIT: Sorry for repeating on Charlie's comments with my own. Can't seem to "sneak" enough time in the office to make quick posts.
