Hedman Headers, 351M 400 they have these ones that are fenderwell exit that will clear any axle. IF you're into fender exit headers. good luck. I'm out of ideas after this

I can't see any reason why a highboy would take different headers than any other 73-79 4x4, can someone tell me the difference in the headers?

Highboys are differant in a number of ways. The differance that is making it hard for us to find headers is that the frame cross members are in a differant location. Power steering, transmission, transfercase, axles, brakes, are all differant. Then you have the early 77's that had changes making it even harder to find parts. Basicaly Highboy's are completely differant truck. Unless you have had one you wouldn't have ever known how much they differ. Some people who have had them and still didn't know.

I have a set on my 77 4x4 f250 crew cab w/ the 351M 4spd and a d60/LP and they fit, installed by prior owner, there is a tag on them , I will try to get some pics and seee what the tag reads ...who makes them and get back to you guys...as far as frame widths, fronts are the same width... the rear section is about 3" narrower, thus causing the problem w/ the fit of the aft gas tanks, also use 2-1/4" wide rear springs instead of the 3" wide.

Ah. I guess I wasn't realizing that the 1977 Highboy was only a half year truck. The 77.5 is a lowboy and the 76 would have an FE.
I had a 1975 full time highboy with a 360 what I sold to my uncle. I am planning on buying it back to use as a beater truck once my half ton is back from paint.

Somewhat off subject but which highboys had a Dana 60 in front?

Did you end up selling?

Did you end up selling these? Ten years later and I'm looking for a set. Or do you know where I can find them?
