Can you post more information on the door seals?
At 100+k miles I am sure my seals are pretty flat.
If you could post where and what it is that you installed I would appreciate!

As for as the amps go I am sure you are capable of fabing up an amazing headliner to install all the amps in it. You can also tie in to the AC ducks for cooling.

I have been out of car audio for more then a decade so for give my ignorance but how you supply power to that much amps?

I assume you have 2 batteries for the factory? Or lots more you have installed? What gauge wire? Does the alternator even charge the batteries?

I have a fairly high powered home theater and had to change breakers so I couldn't imagine that in a car!!!

It kind of makes my one jl audio sub in my center console kind of funny!

I spent all day on my Ranger system today. I finally put the 4 inch mids in & finished the sound deadening in the passenger door. I have both doors sealed good & tight with plenty of deadening & a 1/2 inch of foam over it. I still have a good EQ to install but its on hold till I get enough deadening to do the floor. Its much easier to work on a Ranger with the seats out.
I forgotten how much the mids add to the sound of my speakers. Man the vocals really come out now. I'll band pass the mid bass when I put in the EQ. I haven't built system in 10 yrs. I'm finding some great speakers built by small American companies. They are priced right & equal to speakers by name brand companies that cost 3 times as much.

For the tubing I used foam Backer rod that is about the same dia as the opening in the seal. Some use a vinyl tubing as it is easier to pull. But I was using what I had around

Powering this many amps is no small job. We are talking almost 2000 amps of current at full tilt. This will require a few High output alts and a good amount of batteries. For this truck, it will have 3 300a alts and 10 XS power 3100 batteries. It currently has 2 of these batteries already under the hood. I am looking to fab up the brackets for the alts in the coming months.

That is a lot of batteries! I am sure you have be pretty creative with the space and all the weight they take up!

I guess the excursion is the perfect vehicle for system like that!
