I have an '68 Ford f-100 240, manual 3-speed transmission and She has 80,000 miles. she drives great in the city at around 30-40 MPH, but once i get on to the freeway and drive at a steady 55-60 she starts to miss and doesnt want to accelerate anymore... and afterward i tend to baby her home on the back roads at 30-40 and she does this for the rest of the day til i let her sit overnight and she will be as good as new.... i need some advice thank you
carb? maybe but I don't think so, do you have points are they to close, condencer going bad? loose ground or any loose wire's, key switch going bad? I've seen all types elctrical act up when temperture raises, do to engine heat or of wore or loose conections. Coil maybe only ok when cool. At this point need more info. on how you checked stanyol69's list. could you have two fuel filters? have seen one at carb. (been added)and the one below fuel tank.
