What are some of the methods some of you have used in removing stubborn door hinge pins? A PO of this 52 F-1 I have used a 5/16 bolt with the head cut off on the top hinge and the bottom one appears to have been in there since day one. I've sprayed WD-40 on them and tried to hammer them out using a drift pin the same diameter as the pins themselves but to no avail. They didn't even seem to budge! Last but least I guess I can cut the hinges on the door since the door is junk anyway and I've got another one to replace it. Any thoughts, ideas would be helpful.

Why can’t you just unbolt the complete hinge, you might have to because of what I am going to tell you. And don’t ask me how I know this! (man, am I dumb). As you can see from the picture the pin is serrated and has an slightly larger diameter at the top, so even with the head cut off it has to be driven up from the bottom ...........or taken off and put in a vise upside down. I used an excessive amount of oxy/acet heat and bent two pin punches to get mine out,………….the wrong way! I was wining to one of my buds at coffee that night and he said, it’s easy if you use an air hammer, which I have and never thought of!
Well this question has been asked a few times - buying new hinges. And the answer usually is the same. You get the new hinges with the new door you are going to buy. Maybe some of the guys have some out there they can get off. Good Luck!.
Drivers side came out without too much trouble, but we can't get the passenger side out with any kind of hammer. Looks like we'll be drilling it out.-DV
Good luck drilling. I tried it but the pins on my '50 F-1 are hardened steel. Looks to me like the only thing that's going to work is a lot of heat and a big hammer.
