Hey Gang,
How's it going...
Got a question, I live in Southern Calif. we really rely on our horns here, and mine broke, 2006 Lariat, Ive been reading about clock springs and such, and I think thats the deal for what i need, the local dealer is trying to back door me for 300 for a clock spring lit or something like that. The horn will come on by it's self, so i had to disconnect it.
Any help in the right direction?
Thanks -Dave
The clock spring (Part #1 in the diagram below) is in the steering column and has a cost of $46.88. Therefore, the dealership is charging $250.00 for the labor to install the part.

BTW, welcome to FTE!
No thats the quote I got from the parts department, My horn is stuck, need to fix it, figured this is what I needed, no warranty so gotta do it myself, where can i get that part for 48 and will that take care of the stuck horn, You think?
Fixed it, took the airbag out, pulled the vinyl back and there's a foil circut board behind there for the horn rely, i noted a indentation in it from my fist hitting it, cause of one of the many lame drivers in LA, so smoothed it out put in back together and working good now,
