What kind of grease for steering wheel?

I removed my steering wheel and all of the steering column to replace a worn out upper bearing. I took the whole steering column apart and cleaned it up really well and am waiting for the new parts to arrive. I am wonderign what type fo grease to put in the new bearing and where else on the steering column and lock mechanism might need some grease. Should I use regular wheel bearing grease or Dielectric grease or white lithium grease or what? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd say synthetic all purpose grease, wheel bearing, tie rod, etc. Something thick and sticky that will stay put for a long time. I like the redline stuff, but that blue boat trailer stuff is pretty good.

I don't know about axle grease on the steering column lock assembly.

I would fear for it being affected adversely by cold temperatures.

A light coating of oil should suffice.
