i have an early 99 f350 with a 7.3.I came this morning and it cranked but wouldnt start.I checked the glow plug relay and that is good, then checked fuses.Under the dash the one 30 amp fuse was blown I changed it and started and it popped.I changed the #30 relay under the hood and the fuse and it started and for a minute then popped the fuse and died. Now it wont start and keeps blowing fuses. Also the wait to start light isnt coming on.Any ideas where to go from here wold be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance John
Try unplugging the wire to the fuel heater element on the back of the fuel bowl. Replace the fuse and see if it will start. I have read posts on the site where it solved this problem. The element in the bottom of the fuel bowl gets hosed up and shorts out. It's worth a try and won't hurt anything. You can run without the heater element and it won't hurt a thing. f that doesn't get it, one of the gurus here will jump in and help with hard stuf !!!
