Well after having the burner for a while I finally got to try it out. Very easy once I eliminated the Jason factor with a quick call to Bill.
I had: Stock, 65tow, 80performance, High-Idle, Wisper and Anti-Theft.
Today I re-burned it to: Stock, 80daily driver, 65tow, 80tow, Wisper and Anti-Theft.
The 80 Daily Driver is the only tune I ran around in once the EOT got up to 174. And it is spot on fore sure. The Adrenaline held good ICP in this tune also.
I also cut out the back of the plastic box that holds the pcm case to the kick-panel. I used some perforated foam I removed from a Pelican case while creating the spots for some work electronic equipment to block the hole and some electrical tape to hold the foam in place. The perforations worked perfectly to make a small hole for the rotary switch wire to fit through. Now all I have to do is remove the foam to remove the chip for a re-burn
Here are a few pics. I forgot to take a picture of the hole I cut AFTER I cleaned it up with a fine file Despite the picture, it did turn out clean and the cuts are straight and smooth.
I have had my chip like that for years... I never tape them in... Easy to swap chips in seconds rather then 20 minutes.
Now you tell me It is pretty nice Joe. When summer comes back, I'll pull it out and burn High-Idle back on. Or if I go to 160's or 175/146's I'll call Bill so he can send me tunes and I'll pull it to burn them on
And I have an extra Rotary Switch that Corey sent me for a rockin price so I'm all set up at my office computer to re-burn when ever...
I got the foam idea from somebody on here recently that said he used a sponge. I just happen to have this perforated Pelican case foam. It is perforated every 1/2" inch. So I peeled off 1" deep, 1 1/2" wide and 3 1/2 long. Perfect fit.
