I have a 04 F250 has 94,000 miles on it i have a couple of problems with it,don't know what it could be 1st there is a lot of slack in the steering wheel, like u have to move it a couple of inches to get a response out of it kinda hard to keep it going straight. 2nd it won't switch into 4x4 and to man lock on the driver side is tight to turn have to use pliers, but then still it will not engauge in 4x4 does anyone know what can cause these problems. Thanks
For your first problem, i would lay under the front of the truck while someone else turns the steering wheel from side to side. Try to determine where the slop is coming from then post back.
For the 4x4 problem, you need to clarify... is the transfer case not engaging? or are the hubs just not locking? Are they auto or manual hubs? Do you have electronic shift on the fly or a manual floor shifter to shift into 4x4?
