I've read a lot of cruise related problems but I thought I would wade into it again. I'm just wondering what all the cruise is loking at when operating. I know about the brake switch, clutch switch, and master cylinder harness but am wondering on what else could be checked. There has to be a fuse somewhere but I wonder if it might have more than one or pull power off some obscure circuit for something. I've read that on some models a burned out brake light could prevent engagement.
As I have searched the forum I came across a thread regarding a '97 I believe where one poster stated the buttons could be tested by holding the on or off button and turning the key on to get a confirming flash of the cruise light on the dash but don't know if this would apply to the superduty. I got nothing when doing it so it either doesn't apply or my switches are broke. I have a '06 with a 6.0 in it so I don't have any "cruise module". I guess I'm just hoping to trouble shoot a bit. I haven't replaced the master cylinder switch but guess I would start there if anywhere. Any input to the inputs.
