Go Crazy With the Bedliner?

Hi all,
I have some rust spots below the rocker panels, and my front bumper looks like turd. I have seen some folks put bedliner on the whole rocker panel section around the truck and on the bumpers. I think it could look cool on my truck, it's firetruck red with black streetflares (covering some more rust repairs ) and black doorhandles, and generally black accenting. I guess I am wondering which products are the best for this, and how much I can expect them to cost. It seems kind of extemem to me, so I'm jsut toying with the idea really, but if it is practical, it seems like it would be a good way to repair the rust spots without painting.
Thanks

I personally like the way the bedliner stuff looks on the rocker panels and bumpers. If I were going to do it I would get the back bumper done too. I also think you can get some type of non fade additive added to it also so it would end up looking good for a long time. I have no idea how much it would cost. If you do end up getting it done make sure and post up some pics!

If I were going to do it, I'd let a professional shop do the application. I've tried the DIY bedliner stuff and it's not up to par with the professional version. I had the interior of my tailgate line-x'ed when my wife had her bedliner done, and I did a DIY liner in the bed of my truck. I went above and beyond on the prep work for the DIY bed project.

I'm rough on things and have manged to tear up both to some extent. I will say the Line-x has held up much better than the DIY kit

i'm going to have that done to my truck real soon. Don't know what it'l cost but I've heard its pretty reasonable. My truck is black with tan around the bottom. The shop that is going to do it for me can do many different colors. So I'm going to cover up the existing tan with the spray. I've seen it on trucks where it goes up and around fender walls which seems to be a good idea because around here thats where some super duties rust out first.

Mark me down as one to do this soon. I think it looks awesome. It'll cover up all those stinking rock chips from the 37's too!

I was looking at professional Line-X quotes... they're in the $800 range, that's more than I was expecting. Are there any DIY products that won't fall apart? Or worse, trap water behind them?

I have seen it look really good on a few trucks and you wouldn't have to worry about any more dings and stuff. Red and black really match up pretty good IMHO. If you do the DIY right it can be great stuff.
