That could be your problem. You never know how hacked up someone else's wiring job will be.

I checked it out today its all still good so its gotta be something in that relay. He said it died so he bypassed it witht the toggle.

I'll just replace it and wire it up right... if i can figure out how it goes lol

Ummm, nobody else caught this? If he really was energizing his GPs for a minute, they would be TOAST,

Hopefully whoever changed the GPs last used a good brand that won't expand, Otherwise your looking to take the heads off to fix the problem.

GP's should only be energized for a about 10 seconds max, and less on subsequent retry's if needed..

Make sure you get motorcraft glow plugs. Other brands have a tendency to swell which makes them difficult to remove. I have read a few posts where people were trying to remove the bits of the plug from the cylinder.

Great looking Ford, great looking Toyota. I love those old Toy's. I want one for an off roading rig and daily driver.

Good choice on the Ford. Kinda big though just for a daily driver. What do you plan on using it for?

Thanks. It's mainly for towing my Toyota to the trails, also as a work truck. When i'm not in school i do homebuilding.

It will be my DD until i get my other Toyota running

I LOVE the Ford so far its a good truck.

What kind of specs on the Toyota? Motor / tranny / gear ratio's? I'd like to see more pictures if you have any (pictures on either rig).

Just keep the oil changed in the Ford and keep an eye on everything. It will do you right.. just love it.

It's got a 22r carbureted 4 banger for now. 2.4 liter gutless little thing but tough as nails, you beat the hell out of them they just keep chuggin. Real simple motors too, you can swap a head gasket in 5 hours

Going in it's place in the next week or two is this 3.0 inline six

Naturally aspirated from a 3rd gen Supra. Should double my hp and nearly double my torque for 180 ft lbs and 180 hp at the crank.
I know its still not much but i dont need much to get around in a 5k lb compact truck. Just wanna turn my 40's

Still running factory 4.10 ring and pinions which is way to tall, i need 5.29 for these tires but 4 D's are comin soon so i'll probably go 5.71

Got a G52 trans and an RF1A tcase (gear driven, not chain) so i'll probably be throwing 4.70's in there if i dont dual case it. Twin sticks soon too

Not sure about the gear ratios in the trans and tcase

Few pics back on 33's

(yes i need the mudflaps by law)

Heres the lineup
