We have a rotary ****, but we don't really promote it. We have finally received enough calls to put it up on the site.

You don't get position 0 with the rotary **** and Jody will only put no start on our Ex model or gauge switcher.

You'll need a pyrometer for sure, and a tranny temp if you have an auto. Boost is nice to have. Most go for these three and the A pillar seems to be the most popular place to mount them. Autometer & Isspro are two of the more popular brands.

You can also get a 4 hole pillar pod. Give Clay a call, seems like he has helped losts on here with the gauges.

Clay hooked me up and I couldn't be happier. He also paints the pillars to match perfectly.. and adds the LED GPR mod!

Honestly, I was torn between the two also at one time. I liked the idea of being able to download tunes at any time for free(but realized I never would), but the scale started dipping towards DP when I took into consideration he sponsors this great site.....which has been a HUGE help to me. A big site like this doesn't run for free! Its like the old saying..."You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" mentality.

I don't believe in buying from a vendor "just because" he spends money with the website, but with EVERYTHING great I've heard about DP and the people he's helped, I knew it just wasn't money talking.

I am super happy with my DP and the stellar customer support that I have recieved from them. I have not dealt with PHP, and have heard only good things from them as well. But I did hear a rumor that Bill from PHP doesn't even drive a diesel, (Once again just a rumor/not trying to **** anyone off/apologies if I am totally wrong here) and we all know that Jody and Diane own a 7.3L. I would say that if true, this doesn't make Bill any less an expert at what he does by any means, but it is common knowledge that the Tipton's Excursion is the guinnea pig for all of their tunes and the safety of them. Also, if you ever plan an upgraded transmission from John Wood, he works hand in hand with Jody in making the tunes effective for the transmission. This I can attest to, as my truck is an entirely different animal with both products.

Either way, from what our fellow members on here using both products have said about either tuner, it doesn't really seem that you can go wrong with either decision. Good luck.

WE own 3 currently, but I am most certain that there are a lot of engineers that work for ford that drive chevy's or toyota's. I am 100% certain that Bill is well versed in tuning diesel trucks and doesn't need to drive one to be able to. BTW- he drove Edge's test Excursion until they sold it.

Diane

Well, I have neither, swamp tunes on my trucks. That said, you will be happy with either one you choose. All of the personalized chips/programmers DP, PHP, TW, Swamps, are far superior to the off the shelf stuff that's out there. No matter which you choose, you win!

Hey there,

We recently became Di/Pricol dealers, so if you're interested in one of our chips, we'd be happy to work with you on a package deal for a chip & gauges and save you some money. Feel free to give us a shout when you have a minute; we'd love to talk with you!

And some of you are correct -- we sold our 7.3L PSD last year when diesel fuel got so high; it was a great deal... one of those things that would have been silly to pass up. Bill wanted a new toy to play with anyway, so we purchased an Expy. (Consequently, we now sell custom tuning for the '05-'06 Ford Expedition in addition to dozens of other vehicles.) Luckily, we have several local customers and friends who are always willing to let us try out new calibrations on their trucks, so we don't have to own one of each vehicle Bill tunes (heck, including all the gassers he tunes, too... can you imagine how many vehicles we'd have to own? LOL).

I've caught Bill looking at some 7.3s recently; I think he misses tinkering on his own vehicle. It wouldn't surprise me at all if another one showed up in our driveway soon -- or a 6.0L -- or both.

Did Di/Pricol get there backorder situation resolved?

I really wanted a set until I found out about the 6month or more backorder time on the full sweep trans temp gauge.

I went EV2 ISSPRO's and have never looked back!
