To close either of my side window vents, I have to have the window rolled down, pull the bar between the window and the vent back, and then turn it closed. without the vents closed they move about a half an inch to an inch towards the front of the truck and you have to pull them back to close them. Does someone know how to fix this? lol its kind of a pain.

One or more of three things has occured.
1) The vent frames have sprung, caused by someone trying to pry them open from the outside, or someone forced them too far open from the inside.
Fix: Replace the vent frames.
2) The coil springs are weak. On each vent frame inside the door is a coil spring on the pivot. When it weakens, there's no tension, so the frames flop back and forth, will not say in position.
Fix: Replace the coil springs.
3) Wiggle the vent handles, see what happens. If there's play, there is a coil spring between the handle and the vent frame. This coil spring keeps pressure on the handle.
When the spring weakens, the handle flops around...has too much play, so even when the vent frame is closed, there will be a gap.
thanks guys, I'll have to check those, the PO's somewhere down the line realy were some smart fellas. lol I've had to redo so many screw ups on the ole girl. shes worth it, but a cheap truck brings expensive headaches. lol
