i really dig the little tucked in one on the yota's front. and while it's not really my style, i do like the 70's ford rear one too. no doubt about it, you make some pretty cool shyte.
What I've got for a front bumper so far. Middle is 10" 3/16" I beam, and sides and mounting brackets are 7/16" plate. Winch on the ground is an old 2000/12 Ramsey that's going in it. I'll try to get more pics up when it's finished and painted, which should make it more interesting. Oh yeah, all the metal was free scrap too...
So im sitting here bored, might as well make a contribution to this thread. Front is 6" channel along with some box tube, plate and round tube. 8- 5/8" grade 8s holding it on.
Rear is 4"x4" box tube along with some smaller box tube and plate. 4- 5/8" and 4- 1/2" grade 8s holding it on.
Made myself some bumpers awhile back for the Samurai out of some scrap C channel I had.
Went with a simple look.. just notched it and bent it then added some recovery points.
The rear was even more basic..
Thought it looked a little funny so a few months later I capped the ends.
I'll be building a bumper for my Superduty after I get the shop wiring done and i'll post that up too. Basically stealing this guy's design, making it a little simpler with a winch built in.
Well I started the thread so I might as well post the pictures.
My front bumper and winch. Works good. Lots of modifications I want to do to it though.
I like that front bumper! I especially love warn winch bumpers. Wish I could find one of them.
I have a c channel front bumper and a ranch hand rear. The front one is gonna get a 10 or 12k winch after I weld in some strength plates for my own piece of mind
Taken off a 79 Bronco and finally got them installed on the EB, not fancy by no means, but usable.
1/8" square tubing welded to the bumper, then bolted and welded to the frame.
I just need to get the winch QD wired. Yes I did torch off the down piece on the bottom of the winch plate, old design to trailer mount the winch also.
Its not thru the front D ring.....optical illusion. Also the D rings were already there, so I just went with it. They will still lift up and be able to attach back too.
