Torque Converter Question
My 85 Ford F150 has an auto C6. I put it in drive today and it didnt wanna kick into gear. So i put it in park then back in drive. Still nothin so i let it sit in drive for awhile after about 2 minutes it kicked in gear and i drove off like it was nothing, full power and everything. Could this be a bad torque converter?

No, its most likely the inner seal in the forward drum. Over time the seal hardened and looses its ability to seal. When the fluid warms a bit it seals just enough to work, this is why we see this kind of problem when things start to cool off during fall.
You can try changing the fluid and adding a fluid and seal conditioner that causes the seals to swell and soften, but this will usually lead to the front seal to leak and you will have to rebuild it anyways.

I'd dump some fluid in first and see where it's comming from before removing it. You will want to replace the tc anyways now and you will inspect the front pump during your rebuild, they don't go bad very often. Make sure to flush your lines and cooler real good before putting the trans back in. You don't want that old fluid and crap going back into a new trans.
