Holy crap!!!

Went to install the door windows today and pulled out the door glass run to start forming the bend. I look at the end and wonder where the bracket is that secures this run to the back of the door and then realize thee is a channel for it. A channel I no longer HAVE as verified by the parts illustration with the group number 21570. I'll keep my true expression of my irritation off the board!

As soon as I realized that and realized I threw out that long run which was twisted and ratty looking I also knew I was in serious trouble. The part is not reproduced nor available from Ford, I assume given how old it is. Unlike other parts of the country there are precious few of these trucks in the yards. I've seen just 3 in the last 3 years and now I have to find another one to obtain 2 back window run brackets before the rainy season starts.

Mike, you looked at the wrong parts catalog illustration.

21570 is the Ford basic body parts number for the channel (Ford: retainer) for a C Series Tilt Cab.

Go here: Illustration Section 200, Page 5. Notice that the basic number is 222A00.

Body related parts shown in illustratons are only partial basic part numbers.

In the text, the two number body style is then added to the beginning of the number.

81 is the body style for the cab (66 if a Unit-body). If for a Styleside specific bed part, the body style is 99, for a Flareside bed: 83.

Which side do you need, there's a right and a left.

The following is listed in Text, Section 200, page 19 under 222A00-01.

C1TZ81222A00A .. Right Front Door Glass Run Latch Side Retainer / Obsolete

Fits: 1961/66 F100/1100 / 1961/69 N/NT/500/1000 / 1967/69 F800/1000.

JST AUTOMOTIVE in Lebanon TN has ONE = 615-443-3086.

ED BENNETT FORD PARTS in Lebanon PA has ONE = 717-272-8762.

GREEN SALES CO in Cincinnati OH has 80 = 800-543-4959.
---------------------------------------------------------
C1TZ81222A01A .. Left Front Door Glass Run Latch Side Retainer / Obsolete

Fits: Same as above.

DON SANDERSON FORD in Glendale AZ has THREE = 623-842-8762.

JST AUTOMOTIVE has ONE.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has ONE = 606-787-5293.

GREEN SALES CO. has NINE.

Sanderson is STUCK with 1000's of obsolete parts, so...will prolly be cheaper.

Bill, that info was a window saver. In actuality Green Sales sold each bracket for 10.00 a piece and my guess is that is pretty close to the original price. They are now on the way to me...
