Yesterday I replaced the 3 o-rings in the fuel drain valve. When I finished the truck ran for about 20 seconds then died it was pretty gradual going from good to bad to dead. I can't get it to run at all now. It sounds like it has run out of fuel of maybe has air in the line. I need some help on this please!
I have never had that issue. I always drain fuel for a few seconds, open up fuel filter cover, remove old filter, close drain valve, pour in DK PowerService and install new fuel filter and reistall cover, tighten. You def have to cycle key a few times to prime pump.
If you have air in the rails, it has to go through the injectors unless you installed a CCK or RR. In the stock configuration, any air making it past the bowl has to go through the injectors. But you could take the cover back off the bowl and have someone turn the key to on (not start) to make sure the bowl is filling up properly. From dead empty, it takes about 10 seconds to fill.
Is there a way to purge the air from the fuel rails? My truck will still not start and I'm getting a little desperate. When I try to start it, it turns over just fine but sounds like it has no fuel.
I am starting to think it is something else. It turns over great but no start, and the GPR is getting really hot, hot enough to start to melt the rubber cap on one of the wires I don't think this would cause it not to start because it is 85 degrees out there. Any Ideas??
If you have been trying to start it for a good while the batteries may be getting to low to fire the injectors. It needs at least 10.5 volts while starting

I have been charging batteries so I think I'm ok there.
would the heater affect it besides when its cold? (stupid question?) I will re-check the fuses in the morning.
