I have a 1963 Ford C700 with a 302 V8. What is the head bolt tightening sequence and torque specs for the head bolts and intake bolts? Also, what is the procedure for adjusting the valves? Thanks!
Its the original 302. The VIN matches up and they've never swapped the engine so its a 302. We're replacing head gaskets and need to know the head bolt tightening sequence and intake manifold torque specs along with the procedure to adjust the valves?
Bookmarked these sources and not sure how accurate. Seem to recall couple of the spec's are off couple ft lbs. I don't have that much confidence in my torque wrench so try and hit the middle. Suggest check out both links and compare for difference, another member will probably correct if there are any errors.
Here's a link for valve adj. but not clear is same for your application. Suggest research and make sure, info may provide few pointers and perhaps more knowledgeable member can provide help.
Are those specs for the Lincoln 302 in heavy duty trucks from 56-63 or is that for the standard Ford 302 in cars and light duty trucks? I have a feeling its not for the heavy duty Lincoln 302 Y-Block?
