Thanks. I didn't deserve a trophy for it though. The tailgate is off a late 60's truck - color doesn't match, interior is black but the seat is blue and needs a makeover, the dash bezel is in bad shape and has the woodgrain and the glove-box bezel is beautiful and isn't woodgrain, the passenger side visor won't stay up, the body needs work and paint, and the engine comp. is a mess. Deffinetly not show quality by any means.
The trophy would be a little more meaningful if there were other entries in my class. Kind of a cheap win if you ask me.
But I can't complain - it was a good time and a lot of money was donated to the Salvation Army.

Thanks. Im looking to get rid of the mirrors. Don't like how far they stick out,,, way too much IMHO. Have another set as well and a spare set of heads too probably sell them all soon. Paint is EMRON 5.0. Motor dyno out at 435hp/550 tq.

DAMN that is a LOT of torque for a 390!!! That is definitely a show quality truck!
If I didn't like my mirrors I'd get the top-door peep mirrors. I have to keep my mirrors because the truck's a Trailer Special and they're awesome for towing. I'm just waiting for the day to get one torn off by some clown with big mirrors on the newer pickups.

No its not. That is a normal thing. These motors have the cabability of major Torque with even minor buildups the FE,s are known for being torque monsters.
