Man I thought I had 29 gallon.............So much for keepin it cheap lol! Ive never had this thing under 1/4 tank. Andrew thats the same size mine was lol. Im goin to buy the 250 gal bottle next and divide it all up into smaller bottles so I can do what another guy on here does. Just toss it in the door cubbie. Im not sure if Id want to dump an entire bottle in. But that bein said, Ive noticed the noise of the engine is a lil more smooth and not rattling as bad. Its amazing how that stuff works. Im still goin to try and find some sheaffers stuff though. Ive read some amazing things about it.
You might see some drop in fuel economy....I don't currently use DK in my VW Jetta TDI, but I have in the past. Since it only has a 15 gallon tank, it is pretty easy to put too much additive in there, and I have done that several times. Each time, the performance didn't change, but my mpg dropped down to the low 30's (very low for my car). Just thought i would mention that, so don't be suprised if you have very low mpg with this fill-up. Like everybody else said, though, there shouldn't be a problem.

I can promise you one thing, if you do this you wont have those bottles in the cab for very long at all, if you make it for than a few hours I'd be surprised. That stuff permeates through anything and has a gross smell. At RRE we had pulled two fuel line plugs out of the heads during the install of Clay's FRx. The day after when doing some live tuning with Jody we smelled that nasty DK. Took me a few minutes to figure out what it was and had to turn the A/C off the recirc setting to get some fresh air in the cab. It's that strong.
I had an unopened bottle behind the back seat a while back and I still smelled it, now I just leave that stuff in the bed toolbox.
Oh and to answer your question, run it to 3/4 tank, fill it up, go to 1/2 tank, fill it up, and do it again at another 1/2 tank and run it down; is what I'd do. Just keep diluting it.
Oh I know it does that for sure lol. I sell the stuff at work. I can smell it once in a while when Im pulling the product forward. It smells bad. I had some on my hand lastnight, and it stuck around for a while after I washed my hands. I was thinkin about fillin up again at about 3/4 or 1/2. Depends on how much $$$$$ I have. Makin close to nothing kinda puts a damper on how much I drive it and all that. I filled up lastnight and it took 1/3 of my check. All I can say is OUCH! LOL.
Hmmmm, I can totally understand that. I don't know your situation, maybe you get the stuff for free, but if things are that tight, I'd not be spending $ on DK; I'd put it toward fuel instead. Sorry if I'm out of line, I'm humbly suggesting it.
Right on guys! Thanks for your time to reply back to this. It was a jug that treats 100 gal. As far as the measuring thing goes, there is a store called something like container world. They have 10oz bottles Ill be using in the future. I about wigged out when I relized how much I dumped in. I have a extended cab long bed and it holds 30 gal. So I guess since I put that much in it should be fine to fill up again at 1/4 to 1/2 tank and not worry about adding some that time lol. Again thanks for your input!
Dan
Yeah, if you only put enough in to treat 50 gallons and you have a 40 gallon fuel tank, there isn't a thing to worry about. Just but back off the dose a little next time and press on. I would run 13 or 14 oz. in a 40 gallon tank.
